Hydration logs: Records of beverages you log, including type, amount, and timestamp
User preferences: Your daily hydration goal, preferred units, quick-add button configurations, and notification settings
Weight data: If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, your weight may be read to calculate personalized hydration goals

Apple Health Integration

Sip offers optional integration with Apple Health (HealthKit). If you grant permission, Sip may:

Read your weight: To calculate your personalized daily hydration goal based on your body weight
Write water intake: To save your logged water consumption to Apple Health
Write caffeine intake: To save caffeine consumption from beverages like coffee and tea to Apple Health

All HealthKit data remains on your device and within the Apple Health ecosystem. We never access, transmit, or store this data on external servers.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data:

Never leaves your device
Is not transmitted to any external servers
Is not shared with any third parties
Is protected by your device's security features

No Account Required

Sip does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.

Analytics and Tracking

Sip does not use any analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking technologies. We do not track your usage patterns or collect any anonymous usage data.

Third-Party Services

Sip does not integrate with any third-party services that would have access to your data, except for Apple Health if you explicitly grant permission.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your Sip data at any time by:

Deleting individual drink logs within the app
Uninstalling the Sip app from your device (this removes all locally stored data)
Managing HealthKit data through the Apple Health app

Children's Privacy

Sip is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
